Did you know that washing your hair on daily basis strips your hair of its natural oils, resulting in dry, brittle hair?
1. Washing Your Hair Every Day
Washing your hair everyday strips the hair of its natural oils, resulting in dry, brittle hair. Skip a day or two for healthier, shiner locks.
2. Hot Water
Hot water strips your skin of its natural defenses and can make some skin conditions worse.
3. Your Loofah
Wet and warm environment is the ideal place for bacteria, and nothing in your shower is more inviting than your loofah. Instead of leaving it in the shower, wring it out and hang it up somewhere to dry.
4. Scrubbing Too Hard
Exfoliating is all well and good, but you only need to do it about once a week. Over scrubbing can be hard on your skin's defense system.
5. Long Showers
Showers can be enjoyable and relaxing, but spending too much time in showers could make your skin dry.
6. Washing Your Face
You probably always wash your face in the shower, but chances are the water temperature is a lot hotter than what you commonly use on your face in the sink. Ideally, you should wait until you get out of the shower and wash your face with lukewarm water from the sink.
7. Not Washing Your Feet
A lot of people assume their feet are clean just from standing in the falling water of the shower, but you really should get in between your toes so that bacteria and fungus don't grow, resulting in athlete's foot.
Afterwards, make sure you use a towel to thoroughly dry the skin between the toes. Otherwise the skin will split uncomfortably (a fissure) and it will smell gross!
