Unlike in non-REM sleep, the body temperature rises in REM sleep. Your head that is wrapped in a towel will get warm and the rise in temperature and the humidity can cause severe headache.
Bacterial growth.
The pillow is an ideal place for the growth of a wide range of bacteria because it absorb sweat, dead skin cells and dust mites. If you add wet hair and warmth to this, you get the perfect environment for the development of pesky fungi
We don’t usually have the time to put the pillowcase and pillow out in the fresh air in the morning, especially in winter, and that contributes to the development of bacteria.
It will damage your hair.
While the hair is wet it is very sensitive and powerless. It can be easily cracked, damaged and start to fall. This is why you need to dry your hair before you go to bed in order to save its health and its beautiful appearance.
