Attention!!! 5 Potentially Deadly Body Pains Not To Ignore

Al of us experiences some sort of pain, whether it’s in our head or in one or more of our limbs. Usually, these along with other minor pains are treated with commonly found medicinal items.

However, there are times when these pains could warrant a visit to the doctor’s clinic, or even the hospital!

Below are 5 different pains that could be symptoms of potentially fatal conditions, and when they require proper medical attention.

1. Leg or Calf Pain

It could be: Deep Vein Thrombosis (a blood clot in a leg vein)
People who are likely to suffer from DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) include patients with recently concluded surgeries, anyone on bed rest or women on birth control. The condition is sometimes called as “economy class syndrome”, because it affects plane or car travellers who have been sitting for long a hours in the same position.

If you experience a pain in your leg that does not seem like a cramp, visit your doctor immediately and get ultrasounds done. If the results are positive and conclude a blood clot, you will get blood thinning medicines. It is important not to let the clot travel to the lungs and cause pulmonary embolism.

2. Sever Upper Back Pain

It could be: Aortic Dissection (a small tear in the Aorta that makes the blood create a false passage)
People describe the symptoms as “tearing pain” and that they’re incapacitated. People at risk of Aortic dissection include those individuals who already suffer from high Blood pressure, or people with connective tissue disease like Marfan’s syndrome.
An aortic dissection can seal branching arteries, and may lead to a stroke, paralysis or kidney failure.

3. Severe Abdominal Pain

It could be: Ruptured ectopic Pregnancy
An ectopic pregnancy is the type of pregnancy that has developed outside the womb. If it ruptures, it can cause severe bleeding in the abdomen.

Women at risk for a ruptured Ectopic pregnancy include those on birth control, fertility treatments and those with tube scarring from sexually transmitted diseases.

4. Severe Dental Pain

It could be: Ludwig’s Angina (a tooth abscess that has slid down your neck)
Severe pain that spreads from your mouth to your neck could be an indication of Ludwig’s angina, an infection on the base of your mouth that spreads down your neck. Common signs of Ludwig’s Angina include swollen neck, redness in skin, funny voice and laziness.

5. Severe Headache

It could be: A bleeding stroke
A severe headache that is also sudden can actually be a Bleeding Stroke. A stroke happens when the circulation of blood to the part of the brain is cut off or greatly reduced. Without the oxygen that the blood carries, the brain cells can die rapidly, which can cause permanent brain damage.

Other symptoms of bleeding stroke:
  • Dizziness
  • A very severe headache that’s starts immediately
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Inability to look at bright light
  • Stuff neck
  • Gradual unconsciousness
