See What Does Your Menstrual Cycle Says About Your Health



Menstrual cycle can reveal a variety of information about your health problems. In fact, if you are experiencing something unusual about your period, such as an extremely heavy or a very light flow of blood or, if you miss a period, there might be something wrong with your health.


Here are some of the health issues that can be indicated by your period

Color –  according to Dr. Alisa Vitti, a holistic health consultant, there are 3 basic colors that are related to the period and these are the colors that resemble frozen blueberry, strawberry jam and juice cranberry.

– Frozen blueberry color and texture in periods is linked to high estrogen levels. It’s marked by heavier cycle than the normal because the uterus is thicker than normal.


– Lighter color resembling strawberry jam is a sign of low estrogen levels. The flow can be patchy and is often late owing to the law estrogen levels and thinner uterine It’s often linked to birth control use.

– Cranberry juice is the color of a healthy period and is not linked to any health issue.

Note if the bleeding is poor during this period. This is often a sign of something serious, including:

Hormonal imbalance –  hormone that occurs as a result of an imbalance of progesterone and estrogen, mainly due to problems with the thyroid.

Pain –   If you are experiencing painful cramps during your period is absolutely normal. However, if you are experiencing cramps which are extremely intense and painful and, if they last for more than 3 days, you should immediately consult your doctor.  Menstrual cramps, are usually a result of high prostaglandins, hormones that are involved in inflammation.
