How To Whiten Your Teeth Using Banana Peel

Bananas are a favourite fruit of many people. They are delicious and dessert-like and one of the first foods given to babies because they digest easily and offer such optimal nutrition. But have you ever tried banana peel teeth whitening?

Banana are packed with minerals like: magnesium, potassium and manganese and with them the teeth are getting whiter. In addition to the minerals already listed, you will also discover that banana peel contains high amounts of calcium and vitamin D as well. These are going to strengthen the teeth and help them to really absorb the minerals better.

Banana peel is kinder to teeth and this is much healthier alternative then the abrasive chemical products.

How To Do The Banana Peel Teeth Whitening Treatment

1. You need to choose a banana from the fruit bowl. It is recommended to pick a banana that is ripe [because it contains a lot of minerals] but not black. Just peel one strip. The rest of the peel leave it on the banana itself, so you can use it in the following days. Peel the banana from the bottom to the top.

2. Rub the banana peel on you top and bottom teeth, until they are completely coated in layer of the banana paste. When the teeth are coated, let the banana paste work its magic for approximately 10 minutes.

3. Keep your mouth open and lips away from the teeth. It might be uncomfortable, but it will prevent the banana paste from rubbing off.

4. After 10 minutes pass, use dry toothbrush to brush the paste from your teeth. Make gentle circular motions for up to 3 minutes. By using this it will help to get the paste into all the crannies and nooks. Then wet your tooth brush to rinse the banana paste from the teeth. Regular toothpaste can be used here as well.

5. Repeat this procedure every day. If you want to have visible results, use this for 2 weeks. It can be difficult to notice the changes in the color of your teeth, so it’s the best to take photo before and after. By this you can make a side by side comparison.

Be aware that bananas have lots of natural sugar, so apply only once a day to be safe.
After the treatments are done, don't throw away your banana peels! They make an excellent mineral compost for plants -- all you need to do is add them to your compost bin, or grind them up in your food processor and sprinkle directly over the soil.
