5. Remove all other peripherals such as ear buds, memory cards, as well as any phone cases or protective covers. Remove all plugs that cover the gaps, slots, and crevices in the phone to expose them to air drying.
6. Use a soft rag or towel. You can use a soft rag or towel to avoid spreading the water left inside because, it can ruin your phone by corroding it and making the circuits corrode or short out.
7. Use a vacuum cleaner. Try using vacuum cleaner to suck the liquid out of the inner parts of the phone over the affected areas for up to 20 minutes. Just make sure that you use caution trying not to scratch the phone or create a static charge from the vacuum.
8. Don’t use a hair dryer to dry out your phone and it is not recommended because it might cause heat damage with a blow dryer or adversely blow water into the phone or blow the water around that’s already into the phone and cause more damage.
9. Use a substance with a high affinity for drawing out moisture. Other option for drying your cell phone is to place it in a bowl or bag of uncooked rice overnight, Rice Krispie cereal, or just cover the phone in paper towels. The rice will absorb the moisture and help dry out our phone.
You can also fill a plastic baggy with silica packets (those little packets that you find in shoe boxes) and drop your phone in into it. Silica is a desiccant that sucks up water moisture, so it’s perfect for drying a wet cell phone.
Rotate the phone to a different position every hour until you go to sleep. Make sure that all of the moisture has been removed.
