The food we eat affects our skin complexion. To make us look fairer and have beautiful skin, there are various types of food that contribute for clear skin. One is we should always drink lots of water to hydrate the skin cells.


Here are 6 types of foods we can eat for a healthier and youthful skin:
1. Salmon
*It is a fish that was born in fresh water. This fish is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. A good source of protein that contains low unhealthy fat and sodium, it can be eaten raw like sushi, or cooked.

2. Dark Green Vegetables
*The greener the better, but we must eat all color-type of vegetable daily because they are rich in antioxidants. They have lots of vitamins, including E and D which are the main vitamins for skin cell production and renewal. Insufficient supply of vegetables in our body also decreases vitamins E and D, thus making our skin look older, dry and sometimes pale. Some of the vegetables with high content of vitamins are broccoli, bitter  gourd, cauliflower, kale, spinach, soy beans and etc.

*Nuts produce essential fatty acids, its either omega-6 or omega-3 fatty acids that help our skin produce oils for moisture, especially for dry skin. Not only for our skin, but in different parts of the body. These essential fatty acids are so-called amino acids, that helps the body to prevent different kinds of illnesses, like heart ailment and other cardiovascular system-related diseases.


4. Berries
*The family of berries are considered very healthy and are antioxidants. Doctors say the darker the color the better for our health. These can be blueberries, strawberries, and cranberries. They are very high in nutrients and can reduce the risk of cancer, increase our immune system. It also has great benefits for our skin, because it contains an anti-aging substance that helps regulate the flow of blood throughout the body.

5. Citrus Fruits
*Vitamin C, the number vitamin that helps our skin to heal fast if we have bruise or wounds. Vitamin C makes our skin glow, and its main source are citrus fruits that helps our immune system boost the body’s natural defenses against diseases and viruses. It’s also adequate in the production of collagen.

6. Red Meat
*Some people think that eating vegetable and fruits alone is healthy. But it’s not, we must have a balance of all the food groups. We also need red meat since our body has 36-42 percent of muscles that need protein. We must eat this in the right amount cause its also unhealthy if we eat too much.
