Tartar is a mineral deposit that get struck on your teeth. The amount of tartar increases and if you don’t remove it, it can cause periodontitis.
One of the most effective ways to remove tartar is visit to a dentist, but there is another, more cheaper and easier way to do it in your own home.
You will need the following:
- Baking soda
- Dental pick
- Salt
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Water
- Toothbrush
- Cup
- Antiseptic mouth wash
The most common and effective tool to get rid of tartar is baking soda.
STEP 1:
Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with ½ teaspoon of salt in a cup. Then rinse the toothbrush with warm water, and dip it in the mixture. Brush your teeth and spit. The whole process should last for five minutes.
STEP 2:
Mix a cup full with hydrogen peroxide with ½ cup of warm water and rinse your mouth for one minute, then spit and rinse with ½ cup of cool water.
STEP 3:
Rub the yellow tartar from teeth with a dental pick. Be careful not to scrape the gums because it may irritate and damage them.
STEP 4:
Rinse mouth with an antiseptic mouth wash and repeat every second day.
Tomatoes and Strawberries
Tomatoes and strawberries are rich in vitamin C they are great for maintaining oral health. Rub directly these fruits onto your teeth and leave it for 5 minutes. In this way the tartar build-up will become softer.
Afterwards rinse your mouth with a mixture prepared from baking soda and warm water. Also, you can apply the same procedure with other food that is rich in vitamin C, like bell peppers, lemons, berries, papaya, oranges and lime.
Cheese
Consuming Swiss or Cheddar cheese before meals helps in neutralizing the acids that cause tartar. Aged cheese contains ingredients that act as a defender.
Additionally, you can also add other things to keep your oral health routine:
- Brush your teeth regularly with a soft brush and make vertical movements. Be sure to always clean the space between gums and the teeth.
- Regularly use dental floss
- Eating spicy foods helps to stimulate salivary glands. Thus saliva cleans mouth naturally.
- Use orange peel to rub the teeth to prevent bacteria multiplying before going to bed and don’t rinse your mouth.
