Natural Remedies to Lighten Your Dark Underarms



Having black underarms is a common problem especially by the women. Most of us want to wear sleeveless outfit, but when you have dark underarms it can be an embarrassing situations.
There are many causes of dark underarms like hair removal, using the wrong type of deodorant, excessive weight, shaving and even sweating. If you are getting frustrated with the way your underarms are looking, the following steps, using natural solutions can help you lighten your dark underarms.

Baking Soda 
Baking soda can be used to make exfoliating scrub to get rid of dark armpit. This will help remove dead skin cells which is one of the causes of dark underarms. It is also a natural bleaching agent, but is usually milder and doesn’t trigger any side effects when applied on the skin.
How to use:
       Mix baking soda and water to make paste. Apply this paste to your dark underarms and leave it to dry. Wash it using lukewarm water. Repeat this process 2-3 times a week.

 Aloe Vera
Aloe vera gives skin lightening and antioxidant that are responsible for regenerating the skin cells to make it look whiter.
How to use:
Use the gel of aloe vera as a mask of your underarms. Then wash off completely after it has dried.

Lemon:
Lemon works as a natural cleanser and powerful antibacterial and antiseptic agent. Its acidic properties help in lightening and exfoliating skin related problems including dark underarms.
How to use:
Rub a lemon wedge before taking a bath on your underarms for a few minutes, and then wash the area thoroughly. Do this procedure every day.
Other option is to add a little amount of turmeric, honey or plain yogurt to lemon juice and apply it to your dark underarms. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash off water. Repeat this procedure 3 or 4 times a week.


Orange Peel:
This can be used to lighten your dark underarms. Orange peel contain exfoliating and bleaching properties. It helps get rid of dead skin cells.
How to use:
Put some orange peels in the sun for a few days until they dried out completely. Grind the dried orange peels into fine powder form. Combine 2 teaspoons of the powdered orange peels and add enough rose water and milk to make a thick paste. Apply the paste and gently scrub your underarms and leave it for at least 5 minutes to remove dead skin cells. Wash the area with cold water. Repeat this procedure 2 or 3 times a week.

Potato:
The mild acidic property present in potatoes is a great natural agent bleaching, But they are moisturizing it will not cause skin irritation.
How to use:
Rub a thin slice of potato in your underarms. You can also blend the potato and squeeze the juice out and apply it to your underarms, leave it to dry for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Apply this procedure 2 times daily for better result,

Milk:
It contains fatty acids and vitamins that helps in getting rid of dark underarms. It also soften the skin and tenders the skin tone lighter.
How to use:
Massage your underarms with milk or try to mix it with saffron.

Cucumber:
Cucumber contain natural bleaching properties to help lighten discolored skin.
How to use:
Rub a thin cucumber slice on your underarms or grate cucumber and apply the juice on your underarms. Apply this procedure 1 to 2 times daily.
Another Option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice and a bit of turmeric powder to make a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area, Leave it for half an hour, and then wash it off with water repeat this procedure 1-2 times daily.
