Tilapia fish 
80% of this fish comes from China. They need to be avoided as they are bottom feeders, thus will eat almost anything. If you eat anything that is raised in polluted water is unsafe. Also, who knows whether the fish are fed, or not. A study showed that bacon is healthier than tilapia for consumption.

Cod fish – almost half of the amount of this fish in the USA comes from China and it needs to be avoided due to the water pollution and feeding problem. A few restrictions about these types of exports that exist in China.

Apple juice
Approximately 50% of the apple juice comes from China. China has been known to use harmful pesticides on their food even though they have been banned by the government. The best method would be to make the juice at home from local organic apples.

Processed mushrooms
One will not know where the mushrooms are grown and how healthy they are. For that reason, purchase the mushrooms from a local and trusted American-based or Canadian-based farms, as 34% of the mushrooms in the stores come from China.

Chinese garlic
Garlic from China is sprayed with chemicals more than abundantly and this garlic leaves a bad aftertaste, that of a chemical concoction. 31% of Garlic sold in the US is from China.


Chicken
The Chinese chicken has been sold in the US since 2013. This sale was approved by the US Department of Agriculture. But, the food experts are concerned about its quality, because China is a country that has great rate of avian flu cases. It is also a country that produces more pesticides than any other country in the world, which is also pretty much polluted, and thus the quality of the chicken should be questioned really well.

Plastic rice
There are reports say that China sends over rice that when cooked stays hard. The plastic rice is on the market and this can give the GMO grain companies a run for their funds.

Black pepper mud
One vendor in China was caught selling mud as black pepper. Although this seems like a local issue, one must always verify quality.

Industrial salt 
This salt has already made it to our kitchens. Be careful and look at the label.  If it is from China think again. If one consumes it, high blood pressure, hypertension, stroke, and heart attack may take place.

Green peas
Fake green peas created with snow peas, soy beans, and green dye and sodium metabosulfate (chemical used as bleach and preservative) has been found on the market. The dye is banned from using on produce as it can cause cancer and inhibit the body’s ability to absorb calcium. When boiled, the green peas does not soften and the water turns green.
