4 Tips to Improve and Sharpen Your Vision Naturally

Poor vision afflicts people worldwide, limiting certain daily activities. Many of us are looking for clearer vision and don't want to use corrective lenses or surgery.

Try these 4 methods that have been shown to naturally improve eyesight. Backed by research and practical experience, these free methods may be the only thing needed to obtain sharper vision.

1. Proper nutrition for clear vision
Our eyes need specific vitamins and minerals to function properly: vitamins A, C and E, and minerals such as zinc and copper.

Antioxidants, along with beta carotene and lutein protect the eyes from strong sunlight. The following products are recommended: egg yolk, green leaves, yellow bell pepper, pumpkin, sweet potato and carrot.

Studies show that including green and yellow products in your diet protects your eyes from aging. Foods rich in sulfur and lecithin help in cases of cataracts. These include: garlic, onions and kapari.

Blueberries and grapes protect from eye inflammation, and salmon and sardines protect the membrane around the eyes. To prevent eye dehydration consume at least 8 glasses of water throughout the day.

2. Exercise your eyes
Perform these simple exercises every morning, before going to bed or whenever you feel that your eyes are tired.

  • Warm your eyes – rub your palms against each other to create heat, and then hold them on your eyes for a few seconds. Repeat this exercise three times.
  • Roll your eyes – look down, then slowly roll your eyes from left to right 10 times. Do the same in the opposite direction.
  • Focus your gaze – take a pen and focus your look at it. Hold it at a normal distance and slowly draw it nearer your nose. Repeat the exercise 10 times, with occasional breaks.
  • Massage your temples – massage your temples with your thumbs 20 times from left to right and 20 times in the opposite direction.
  • Afternoon catnap – if you do not have time to relax in the afternoon for an hour and a half, then lie down on a pillow, close your eyes, hold them so for three minutes and relax.

3. Stay away from harmful environmental influences
External factors greatly affect visual impairment. Here’s what negatively affects your eyes: fluorescent lights, infrared monitors, chlorine in swimming pools, reading in dark light and constant rubbing of eyes with hands.

4. Sleep is crucial
Sleep is the most important thing that should be paid most attention, if you want healthy eyes and sharp and clear vision. Sleep rests and heals eyes. We all know that 8 hours are enough for normal functioning of the body, especially the eyes.

Rest your eyes if you work long hours on the computer, a 10-minute break every 50 minutes. At the end of the day, if your eyes are tired, you know the good old recipe for refreshing your eyesight: one cucumber wheel on each eye.
