Wrap Your Leg With Cabbage For 1 Hour And You'll Be Amazed With The Results To Your Joint Pain

Cabbage is a high nutrition vegatable which is a rich source of vitamin C, potassium and vitamin K. It has potent cancer-fighting and anti-inflammatory properties that make it extremely beneficial in the case of joint pain.

Cabbage has been used to treat swollen and bruised skin. The addition of cabbage leaves to the treatment of arthritic patients provides great relief.

They use it in the form of a compress. Here's how to prepare it:

Cabbage Compress
Ingredients:
 Organic cabbage (preferably red)
Aluminium foil
Rolling pin/wine bottle/meat hammer
Gauze or Bandage
Oven

Instructions:

Peel away the outer leaf of the cabbage and wash thoroughly. After that, you need to dry the leaf thoroughly and cut out the hard stem. And now, you need to place the cabbage leaf on the counter, and with a rolling pin bruise the leaf to release the juice within. Wrap the cabbage in foil and place in the oven for a few minutes to warm them, but not make them hot.

How to use it – just place cabbage directly over the affected area. After that, you need to cover the leave with bandage or gauze and elevate the area. Keep cabbage compress on for up to an hour. Repeat 2-3 times per day and change cabbage leaf every time. You should start to feel the benefits by the next day.

And, if you want to make a cold compress, refrigerate the cabbage before you begin the process above and remove #5.

The main reason for using red cabbage instead of green is that red cabbage contains anthocyanins -- the chemical that gives red cabbage its color. Anthocyanins are known to reduce joint pain and inflammation.

Cabbage allergies, even though they are rare, can cause swelling or itching, so if experience any of these symptoms, remove the compress, and visit a doctor if the irritation is aggravated.
